Sugarloaf 2011
This past weekend, we once again traveled to Sugarloaf for the Maine Spinners' Registry annual retreat. Twenty-one of us were spread out into 3 condos. Some old faces where there, along with some new ones! It was wonderful! This year is was especially hot and humid, and swimming was done by a number of us. Usually it was Ann and I in the pool. This year, Linda, Betty, Alice, Sharon, Susan, Christine, Ann, Sue and I all took the plunge. In fact, I went swimming twice a day to keep cool. We had a demonstration of a set of English wool combs on a stand that Nancy brought, and as usual, we went out to dinner on Friday night. Lots of spinning was done by all, with Lori taking the prize for the most skeins finished during the weekend. I think Pam was a close second. I took pictures, but haven't downloaded them yet, so will post them later.
